Quest Africa aims to provide students with a well-rounded range of modules and courses, designed to give students exposure to a spectrum of skills and career options that are not usually part of the conventional school curriculum.

The Quest approach to course design and instruction particularly emphasises practical application to ensure that students not only understand the theory but area also able to apply learned skills in real-life scenarios.

Practical applications range from re-building the engine of a Land Rover to a practical welding test, community projects involving plumbing and electrics, and emergency rescue situations.

Quest for Young Men

The 7 month Quest Africa core course  takes young men and transforms them into independent, resilient and resourceful young men.

Spring Programme

The Spring Programme is a co-ed course and is being developed in response to popular demand. We are hoping to make this course longer and more comprehensive in future years, but the condensed course has all the ingredients of the core course, just concentrated and modified slightly to suit the needs and interests of a co-ed course.

The course will be challenging but enjoyable, and will establish a great foundation from which to launch into the exciting world that we live in.

Quest Photographic Course

The Quest Photography courses range from absolute beginners courses to those for more advanced amateurs. The beginners courses are held at the Esigodini Campus and last for approximately five days.  These will entail numerous trips into the Quiet Waters Conservation Area, both on foot and at times for those intrepid enough, on horseback.  Special photographic sessions will be advertised with names like Garth Thomson coming to share their photographic and wildlife knowledge.

Course dates

The Quest Africa programme runs annually.

Esigodini, Zimbabwe: February - August (Boys only)

Kaba, Eastern Cape: March - September (Boys only)

Spring Programme September to December (Learn more)

This course is designed for both men and women between the ages of 18 and 21.

Course certification

Quest Africa is first and foremost about giving students a unique and life-changing experience, preparing them for a successful career or university education. In addition, participants will receive diplomas and certificates for subjects such as welding and Advanced First Aid upon successful completion.
