As the sand beneath the tyres made our entrance known,
And the sound of nervousness, clearly heard in my tone.
I had expected jungle gym, swimming pools and ropes.
Just to find a calm, so serene and beautiful,
A place, a feeling only dreamt of, full of hopes.
The first swim, the first gym class, the first run.
The morning breeze stung my cheeks as I watched the rising sun.
The first impressions that continue to carry on.
The people around me so strong and bold,
Apart from the introduction many stories untold.
Now a team, I care and trust to help me find my way.
Love, respect, loyalty, friendships, a price I will gladly pay.
The first impressions that continue everyday.
The work, the travel, the lessons I learn,
From the ignorant bliss I slowly turn.
I see myself not but the reflection in the mirror.
Quest teaching me strong firm beliefs and not constant quivers.
The first kapenta rig, the first crocodile, the first 10k run.
In Binga, the most beautiful setting of the sun.
My heart filled with joy, my first impressions so true,
Beautiful and funny stories follow after.
Come let us chat, I’d love to share them with you.
