The Graduation of the Men’s Core 2016 group was a wonderful fun, happy, exciting, uplifting, yet sad, day. We will certainly miss this fine group of young men. Seeing them with their families, and experiencing the excitement and anticipation they feel as they leave Quest, we hope better equipped for the next stage of their lives, was a very rewarding experience.
The two day celebration started off with an afternoon of presentations on their various projects and a walkabout, followed by an evening of music, food, fun and a lot of laughter as all the parents got to know each other, and the boys introduced their families from home, to their Quest ‘family’.
The Friday morning saw the boys appear, some almost unrecognisable, spruced up in their smart Graduation shirts, hair tamed, beards trimmed and stubble removed! Joel Griffin led the opening prayer, Angus Bidwell spoke on behalf of the intake and Brandan Durkan gave the vote of thanks. Our Guest Speaker was Alan Elliot, and his wife Scotty handed out the special awards. The Chairman of the Falcon Trust Board, Andrew Marchussen, presented the Quest Diplomas and our Director, Harvey Leared, presented our Top Student, Matt Stanford, with the Leared Shield.
Champagne and snacks followed, and the intake said their final farewells. Everyone at Quest wish this group success, health and happiness in the future.
