Intake 1 2015 graduated on the 21st August. It was a beautiful day with almost all the boys families represented by either parents, siblings, grandparents or uncles and aunts. Sadly some just lived too far away! The event started on the Thursday afternoon when the parents got a chance to see the boy’s projects and to witness a ‘QFT’ (Quest Fitness Test) display. Many of our outside facilitators and members of the Falcon staff then joined us all for a sheep-on-the-spit evening around the fire at the dam. The following morning everyone appeared in their finery for the official business of ‘Graduation’. Our Guest Speaker, Jonathan Rowland gave an excellent address on how to reach our full potential with plenty of amusing ‘do’s and don’t’ along the way. The boys were presented their Graduation Certificates by Andy Laing, the Chairman of the Falcon Board, and the special awards were presented by Sue Rowland. The Top Student of this outstanding intake went, after much deliberation, to Nicholas Bailey, a highly motivated, capable and thoughtful young man. The Citizenship Award went to Mike Mandy for his all round excellent attitude to everything and everybody. It was an emotional departure for many of the boys, and certainly the Quest Staff will miss this exceptional bunch of young men.
