The Quest Team interviewed Andrew During to find out a little more about his quest in life!

Many thanks go out to Andrew for taking part in this interesting Q & A session.
HOME:  Cape Town

SCHOOL:  Bishops

TENT:  Armstrong

SHARED  WITH:  Matt Stead and Hayden Baum

WHY QUEST?  I wanted to have a productive gap year and acquire skills that I wouldn’t learn on a ‘normal’ gap year.  Quest was also recommended to me by another Cape Town ex-Questor.

BEST EXPERIENCE SO FAR:  Cycling in particular, but all of the PT, it’s a constant enjoyable challenge.

MOST CHALLENGING EXPERIENCE SO FAR:  Mixing with all the diverse characters most of whom I would never have crossed paths with if I hadn’t come on Quest.  Learning to adapt, negotiate, compromise.

FAVOURITE ACUMEN:  Natural.

MOST AMUSING ASPECT OF QUEST:  Luke Hudson’s sarcasm.

MOTTO:  I have lots of motto’s but I think my favourite’s are: ‘Ship’s are safe in harbour but that is not where ships are supposed to be’ and ‘It’s not about waiting for the storm to pass, it’s about dancing in the rain’.

PERSON MOST ADMIRED:  Ghandi

PLANS AFTER QUEST:  I hope to head off to University to study psychology.
